Booking For

Reservations are now being taken for the course.

Please note that participants are expected to be around Grade 8 standard or above.

You can download the 'Booking Form' and 'Request Form' from this website as doc or pdf files. These should be filled in and then emailed to OR sent in the mail to Harrogate Wind Chamber Music, 19 The Temple, Lower Largo, Leven, KY8 6JH

We will confirm your booking as soon as the balance of instruments allows. The remainder of your fee will be due on or after 1 April, at which point a reminder will be sent.

Please note that if you cancel, we regret that your deposit cannot be returned (see Booking Conditions).

Fees

    A non-refundable deposit of £200 is payable with your reservation - the balance of the fee can be paid later.

    Non-playing residents can also be accommodated, please see prices below.

    Fees are payable in three ways. Be sure to include your name in the reference to the Bank Transfer or PayPal payment.

    Bursary Fund

    A few years ago, some of our participants raised the idea of a bursary fund which now runs each year. The purpose of this is to fund a place on the course for a promising young musician who would benefit from the experience. You can make your donation by bank transfer or cheque, as above, or by using the PayPal button below.

    Booking Conditions

    Refund of deposits


    The course requires a minimum of participants and a balance between instruments if it is to be viable. For more than twenty years, we have not had a problem in achieving this but we must reserve the right to cancel your booking in the unlikely event that we are unable to achieve a balanced quorum or do not run the event for whatever reason. Under these circumstances we will return your deposit in full.

    If in the next 30 days from the date of this letter you cancel your booking, for whatever reason, we will again return your deposit.

    The above are the only circumstances under which we will refund deposits.

    If you have paid in full when making the booking and cancel before 1 April, we will treat £200 as a non refundable deposit but return the rest of your fees.

    Full fees


    On or after 1 April, unless you have already paid in full, we will invoice you for the residue of the fees. If you cancel after that date, for whatever reason, we will try to find a paying replacement and if successful will retain your deposit plus 10% of the residual fees to cover our expenses. However, we can not guarantee to find a replacement and if we are unsuccessful will then retain the total fee in order to cover the costs we will incur. We strongly advise you to insure yourself against this eventuality. It is not unknown for someone to have to cancel at the last minute for very good reasons but we can not afford to make any other refunds.

    We apologise if these conditions seem a little harsh but remind you that the event runs without any outside support.
